Immigration isn’t getting good fixed anytime soon. Years ago, I had to fire a good man as he wasn’t legal but had his Visa application in hand dated 1977, the year I was born. Outrageous he can start a company, serve you as a 1099 even bought a home and raised his 3 children in America (US) over 30 years and now 45 years after he did the right thing and applied, no answers.
