Chin Up!
A wise woman, Marilyn vos Savant once stated, “Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent.” In today’s business landscape there are many who may feel defeated. Whenever possible, reassure your staff, your team and yourself if necessary. Avoid discouragement with encouragement and a look to the future. Whether you are the one to deliver unexpected news or the one to receive it do your best to relate to the situation. Genuinely empathize, communicate honestly and with care and remember defeat is a temporary condition. We cannot control all the forces around us but we can control how we let those forces affect us.
